Usage

What does the badge number mean?
Google Wave is counting changed messages, in difference to your email app where you expect the number of new messages to become counted. If there are changes in other ‘Navigation’ items like ‘All’ or ‘Settings’ they are also counted, so take a look there too if you have a badge count but no unread message in your ‘Inbox’.

Image upload does not work. What’s wrong?
The upload of images and other files depends on Google Gears. Gears is a plugin from Google. See the Documentation of Waveboard for details of how to install it on Leopard and Snow Leopard. Once you have installed the plugins you should see the entry ‘Google Gears Settings…’ in the ‘Waveboard’ menu. Best practice to upload files is to drag and drop the files into the wave!

How do I print a wave? [updated]
You can print the Waveboard window using the ‘File/Print’ menu entry or pressing CMD+P. Waveboard will extract the informations of the current open Wave. This is a unique feature of Waveboard since printing Waves in browsers often results in a screenshot like result.

Technical

Something doesn’t work? What should I do?
If the error occurs in the Google Wave view try if the problem also occurs if you open Google Wave in a browser. Remember: Google Wave is still beta! If you still experience  errors please contact me via email at waveboard[ät]me.com or an Google Wave under the googlewave.com account ‘dirk.holtwick‘.

Is Waveboard the same as the Fluid app solution?
No. Waveboard has no relations to Fluid. The approaches are similar since both solutions integrate the web interface of Google Wave. Using Waveboard though is more comfortable since you don’t need to spend time on creating and maintaining the Fluid app. Also Waveboard will always come with the latest tested Google Wave specific features already included.
